Im Never Buying From Ebay Again Dick Print
by Sydney Rock
It was smashing while information technology lasted. Only it's over.
Afterward years of success ownership and selling on the Poshmark app, I was done. I was a top seller, with over 333,000 followers. I had regular echo customers that were amazing, which is the just real drawback to quitting Poshmark…I loved these folks!
Only then I had a bad customer service experience with Poshmark that caused me to wonder if all the fourth dimension I was spending on the app was worth it. And it turned out that for me, it wasn't. So I took all of my inventory and created my ain online store chosen Shop Stylaphile. ( Click below if you want to learn how I did information technology and open a shop of your own!)
At present I have a lot more than control over what I'm selling and I don't have to pay Poshmark fees or a 20% commission to anyone. Plus, most of my regular customers followed me over and continued buying from me. And more importantly, I don't have to bargain with the following Poshmark bug that caused me to quit altogether.
Reason #1. Poshmark client service sucks.
Here's the bad experience I had that was the impetus for my Poshmark departure. A Posher purchased a very unique elevation from my cupboard. It was in perfect condition. When she received information technology, she filed a instance with Poshmark help stating that the zipper didn't work. She even supposedly sent them video proof.
I ever took cracking intendance to make sure every piece I sold on Poshmark was in excellent condition. If there were any flaws whatsoever, I would disclose them in my description. I certainly would never list an item with a faulty attachment. This person just received the top and either didn't similar it or found out it didn't fit her and wanted her money back.
I responded to Poshmark and informed them that the zipper worked perfectly when it was shipped, but they sided with the buyer and returned the item to me. The first thing I did when I received the tiptop back was check the attachment. And guess what? It worked just fine. I contacted Poshmark Support to allow them know, but they never responded. And then I never used the app again. Of all the online apps I've ever used, Poshmark client service is by far the worst. Given the loftier Poshmark fees that sellers have to pay, this is simply unacceptable. I'm certainly non alone in my stance. Just google Poshmark reviews and encounter for yourself.
Reason #2. Lowballers on Poshmark are the worst.
Ugh. Lowballers are the worst. They're the reason I stopped accepting offers on Poshmark altogether. Apparently these people are only willing to pay $5 for ANYTHING in your closet, whether information technology's an authentic hard-to-find Coach bag or a vintage Versace dress. I got to the indicate where if someone offered me less than one-half the asking toll, I would just block them. But when I plant myself blocking people all day long, I simply stopped accepting offers menses. I would write in my description "Concluding Price" and "Price is House," merely Poshers would still offer me $five.
If you can't be bothered to actually read the item description and respect the seller's policies, then you really shouldn't be on Poshmark.
Reason #3. There are too many unethical buyers, trolls and Poshmark scams.
While the majority of people who purchased items from my closet were form-act Poshers, I did have my collective share of bad apples that plant their way to my Poshmark account. These are the people you blitz to the post office for and then you tin can go their item delivered ASAP, but so once they get information technology, they don't even bother to mark it as received. Then you have to wait iii days for your funds to be released. Or the folks that requite you lot a 1-star review with no specific reason. And how about the ones that give you a low rating because they didn't similar the fit? Like somehow, that'due south your problem and not the manufacturer'southward?
And and then there are the trolls. I institute 2 types of trolls exist on Poshmark. There are the trolls that annotate and ask a gazillion questions well-nigh an particular (almost of which have already been answered in the description…the one they couldn't exist bothered to read). These people never buy anything and it seems their sole purpose for existence on Poshmark is to waste your time.
So there are the pervert trolls. These are men who accept constitute Poshmark and created accounts just then they can ask you to "model" that pair of high heels or that tight wearing apparel. Again, there should exist more seller protection offered past Poshmark when it comes to trolls like these and Poshmark scams in general.
Reason #4: Poshmark is a massive time-suck!
The parties. The sharing. The answering questions. While I did enjoy the social aspect of coming together some really groovy people on Poshmark, the amount of time I was spending on the app was ridiculous. Four times a day for the parties. Sharing first thing in the morning. At midnight my husband would say "Are you lot still poshing?" I suddenly realized that all the time I was spending being "social" on Poshmark was keeping me from doing other actually productive things in my life, like exercising, writing, and spending quality time with friends and family.
I certainly don't miss the fourth dimension suck, and I'1000 at present making a lot more money on my own site than I always made on the Poshmark app. Of form, in that location are several other top Poshmark sellers who are crushing it. I get that. I applaud that. I'one thousand thrilled that for some people, it works. It only no longer worked for me.
